I wanna be a nanny!

We're back home (got home 3/2) from a week of cuddling and lovin' two of the cutest, snuggliest little precious people in the whole world... and now I want to go back! Sophie (first photo) had us scared silly with her episode end of February of stopping breathing and her hospital stay and tests, but they finally have a diagnosis of stomach reflux and have put her on medication that we hope will kick in soon and give her (and her parents) some relief. She gets to sleep sitting up (which they discovered worked well in her little bathtub!) We are so grateful it is nothing more serious. The feedings every 3 hours are hard and the babes are high maintenance, but it is such a pleasure to be able to care for them. Lauren (second photo) is still a little charmer (they BOTH are) and makes the cutest little faces. Yup, she still has her strong-willed tendencies, but who can deny her anything? Not me, that's for sure. I can't stand being away from them, so will try to get back in a month or so. They are gaining 1/2 pound a week, but still tiny at their 7+ pounds at 7 weeks. But I expect they will change rapidly. However, feedings every 3 hours is very hard on parents, especially when one of them is at work. Sleep depreviation is a very real problem. Guess I'll just have to go back and help them out! Thanks for rejoicing with us over these special little people. Posted by Picasa
