Mother's Day Highlights

Mother's Day weekend found four generations of Hall/Vardaman/Mereckis families converging in Chicago to celebrate. Sophie and Lauren got to meet their two great-grandmothers (their namesakes) and play with their two doting grandmothers and also grandpa, uncle, great-uncle, two aunts, and year-old cousin. Tina's brother Tom (and Liz) were visiting from Seattle (with year-old Andy). Tina's mom, Gedra, lives in Willowbrook, just a few minutes from Great-grandma Klein, so it was convenient to see everyone at once. All the visiting was understandably chaotic and the Pink Princesses got all messed up on their schedules and sleeping patterns. They also said "Enough!" on the photo sessions. But we did manage to shoot a few between melt-downs. While the weather was chillier than we would have prefered, we also managed to bundle the wee-ones up and go out for a short hike -- always a good way to settle down the babes. Steve and Tina packed the double stroller and car seats on the plane with them! By now all should be back home and recuperating from the hectic (but worth-it) week end. And of course, I got my "grandbaby-fix" to hold me for a few more weeks. Keep tuned -- I can't stay away long.
