Grandma Loves Sophie and Lauren

I've just returned from another great trip to Colorado and another super-fun visit with the Vail Twins! You will see by the following photos that we had a great time together. My next visit out west will be to a new home -- they are moving in a month to a bigger house, higher up the mountain, with more room for the girls to grow and "run around" in. They will each be able to have their own bedroom (if that's what they want?) and more space for all those toys (two of everything, of course.) I can't wait for the next trip -- probably the first part of August. In the meantime, Tina and Steve keep me supplied with great photos. (Thanks!)

Springtime in Vail

Sophie and Lauren are growing up! My visit with them June 8-14 was another fun trip with lots of time for getting to know each other better. The girls have discovered their voices, their hands and are working on rolling over and sitting up by themselves. "Baby Einstein" DVDs are their new favorite activity, along with having Grandma play with, read to them or take them on a "jog" up and down the street (or at least Grandma likes to think it's their favorite). Everyone's still "on-call" for feeding time every three hours during the day (and you'd better not be late with the bottle!!) but night feedings can be stretched out a little longer. Hopefully that will change when they get more solid foods in them.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

New adventures and activities for the 5-month old pink princesses included learning to sit up, operating the "boing-boing" activity center, blowing spit-bubbles, more travels to the park in the double jogger, an outing to the community Family Fun Fest in chest carriers, and the new skill of eating cereal from a spoon, a very messy operation.

Grandma Goes to Vail

I'm off to Vail next week to check up on my favorite grandbabes. Check back for a photographic update when I return after June 13. Here's just a sneek peek of what I'll be doing most of the time -- crawling on the floor with my sweethearts.  Posted by Picasa
